A new excavator has been put into operation at the Russian Coal enterprise in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

A new Komatsu PC–400 hydraulic excavator was delivered to the Pereyaslovsky mine, an asset of the Russian Coal company in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as part of the implementation of the investment program in 2021.

It will be used both on the main technological processes – stripping and mining operations, and on auxiliary ones, including the dosage of wagons, the company explained.

This excavator stands out for its high performance characteristics, including the maximum radius and depth of cutting of the soil. The model received innovative solutions and advanced design developments. Advanced technical characteristics are achieved by equipping with new high-quality materials.

The Pereyaslovsky section works out the reserves of the Pereyaslovsky brown coal deposit located on the territory of the Rybinsk, Uyarsky and Partizansky districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The company produces brown thermal coal in an open way. Walking excavators, electric quarry crawler and hydraulic excavators are involved in mining operations. Coal loading into railway wagons is carried out by high-performance rotary excavators ER-1250.

Since the beginning of the year, 2.4 million tons of coal have been produced at the Pereyaslovsky section. The section produces energy coal grades “2B” and “3B”, which is one of the highest among the brown coals of the mainland of the Russian Federation in terms of caloric content (up to 4,400 kcal / kg). There are about 260 million tons of coal in the reserves of the Pereyaslovsky mine. In June, the company produced 95 million tons of fuel from the moment the mine was put into operation.
