For 10 months of 2021, Russian Coal produced 12 million tons of thermal coal

In January – October 2021, the enterprises of the Russian Coal company in the Amur Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia produced 12 million tons of thermal coal. This is 4% higher than in the same period in 2020.

The highest growth rates were shown by the Kirbinsky coal mine in Khakassia, where, compared with last year’s results, 14% more D-grade coal was produced. The Kirbinsky section works out the reserves of the Bey coal deposit.

The volume of coal production at the Pereyaslovsky and Sayano-Partizansky sections located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory increased by 6% compared to 10 months of 2020.

The Sayano-Partizansky section produces coal of the “G” and “DG” brands, which, due to its high caloric content (more than 6000 kcal / kg), is in active demand in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

The products of the Pereyaslovsky section – coal of the “3B” brand – are distinguished by one of the highest caloric values (up to 4,400 kcal/kg) among the brown coals of the mainland of the Russian Federation.

“The implementation of the investment program for the renewal of the fleet of mining and transport equipment of coal mines in the regions of the company’s presence continues. The volume of coal production in January – October 2021 exceeds the planned figures, which is due, among other things, to the favorable market conditions,” the company’s press service explained.

Russian Coal produces thermal coal in an open-pit manner at coal mines located in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts. The company’s total coal reserves amount to 1.47 billion tons. The company’s products are supplied to the domestic market to consumers in 60 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as for export to 15 countries of the world.
