For 9 months of 2021, coal production at Russian Coal enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory increased by 12%

In January – September 2021, more than 3.41 million tons of thermal coal were produced at the enterprises of Russian Coal in the Krasnoyarsk Territory – the Pereyaslovsky, Abansky and Sayano-Partizansky sections. This is 300 thousand tons higher than planned and 374 thousand tons, or 12% more than the production volumes of the same period in 2020.

In the Sayano-Partizansky section, over 9 months of 2021, over 930 thousand tons of high-calorie coal of the “G” and “DG” grades were extracted, which is 2% higher than last year’s figures. Due to its high caloric content (more than 6000 kcal/ kg), this type of fuel is in demand in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

The volume of brown thermal coal production at the Pereyaslovsky section in January – September 2021 amounted to 2.43 million tons. This is 16% more than the production volumes for 9 months of 2020. The products of the Pereyaslovsky section – coal of the “3B” brand – are distinguished by one of the highest caloric content among brown coals of the mainland of the Russian Federation (up to 4,400 kcal/ kg). The company currently has about 260 million tons of solid fuel in its reserves.

More than 50 thousand tons of fuel have been extracted since the beginning of the year at the Abansky section, working off the reserves of the Abansky brown coal deposit.

Russian Coal continues to implement an investment program to upgrade the fleet of mining and transport equipment of coal mines in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The fuel extracted here is supplied to the needs of the large energy sector, housing and utilities structures, under government contracts, as well as for export.

In 2020, about 5 million tons of coal and brown thermal coal were produced at the enterprises of Russian Coal in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
