In the 1st half of 2022, fuel production at the Russian Coal mine in the Amur region increased by 11%

Russian Coal mining in the Amur Region increased by 11% compared to the same period in 2021, from 0.9 to 1.0 million tons, during the 6 months of 2022, the production of brown thermal coal at the Yerkovetsky section of JSC “Amurugol”, an asset of the company “Russian Coal” in the Amur region.

At the moment, 27 units of large mining and transport equipment are involved in the Yerkovets section, the company employs 628 people.

At the beginning of this year, the balance reserves of the Yerkovetsky mine amounted to 504 million tons of thermal coal. The resources of the entire Yerkovetsky brown coal deposit are about 2.0 billion tons of fuel, which makes it possible to significantly increase the production capacity of the coal mining enterprise in the future.

The growth of the production capacity of the Yerkovetsky section makes it possible to create new jobs and allows attracting to the enterprise the released material and technical resources from the Raichikhinsky brown coal deposit, which has provided the Amur Region and neighboring regions with energy coal for more than 90 years.

In 2022, the miners of the Amur region are working ahead of planned production indicators. In total, the enterprises of JSC “Amurugol” produced more than 1.5 million tons of brown thermal coal in January – June 2022.

The fuel extracted in the Amur region is used for the needs of the Russian Far East. Blagoveshchenskaya CHP and Raychikhinskaya GRES are working on it, among others.
