“Russian Coal” prepares mountain rescue teams in the Amur region

At the end of 2021, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia certified the auxiliary mining rescue teams (VGK) of the structural divisions “Yerkovetsky Section” and “Severo-Vostochny Section” of JSC “Amur Coal” (an asset of the Russian Coal company in the Amur region). In each VGK there are heads and commanders of departments. A total of 18 people with both higher mining education and specialists with secondary specialized education were included in the VGK: deputy production directors, mining foremen, machinists and assistant excavators.

Each VGK is equipped with mountain rescue equipment, SIZOD (personal respiratory protection equipment), first aid equipment, special vehicles for delivering members of the VGK to the accident site.

The base room of the VGK for the maintenance of mountain rescue equipment was preserved for the VGK of the Severo-Vostochny section, Amur Coal JSC reported.

In March 2022, the members of the VGK of both coal mines began scheduled semi-annual training at the base of the UC VGSCh of the Far East in Neryungri. In addition to scheduled classes at the HCSC, mountain rescuers undergo periodic practical classes in their structural divisions.
