Russian Coal provides retired miners with social coal

As part of the state contract with the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Russian Coal company provides social coal to retired miners.

Every year, about 7,000 former employees of the coal industry receive ration coal mined at the Russian Coal company’s mines located in Khakassia, the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Amur Region. Social coal of the “D” and “B” brands is supplied under a state contract with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

Annually, about 50 – 60 thousand tons of coal and brown thermal coal are shipped under these contracts. The company is selected as a supplier based on the results of open competitive procedures. In the regions, local small business entities are involved in storing and shipping fuel to the final consumer. In some cases, these enterprises provide fuel delivery to the homes of the elderly.

Russian Coal has been supplying fuel for the needs of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation since 2013.

“We assume social responsibility and fulfill contracts with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation in full and on time, regardless of market conditions and the growth of world coal prices. Within the framework of this contract, special attention is paid to the quality of the products supplied. There is a special control of the absence of rock in the coal. Our goal is to provide pensioners of the coal industry with fuel of selected quality,” the company’s representative explained.
